The goal
Win chips by having the best five-card hand at showdown, or by betting so that everyone else folds. You win the game when you hold every chip at the table.
The deal
Everyone gets two private hole cards. The two players left of the dealer button (D) post the forced small blind and big blind bets, so there's always something to win. The button moves one seat left each hand.
Four betting rounds
Pre-flopafter hole cards
Flop3 shared cards
Turn4th shared card
River5th shared card
The shared cards in the middle are the board; everyone can use them.
Your options on your turn
- Check: pass the action without betting (only when nobody has bet yet this round).
- Bet / Raise: put in chips; a raise must be at least as big as the previous bet or raise.
- Call: match the current bet to stay in.
- Fold: give up the hand and any chips you've already put in.
- All-in: bet everything you have. If you can't match a bet you can still call all-in, but you can only win as much from each opponent as you put in yourself. The extra goes into a side pot.
A round ends once everyone still in has put in the same amount (or is all-in).
Showdown
If two or more players are left after the river, the hands are revealed. Each player makes the best five-card hand from their two hole cards plus the five board cards (any combination, even all five from the board). The best hand wins the pot; identical hands split it.
At this table
- Everyone starts with 1,000 chips. Blinds start at 10/20 and rise every 8 hands.
- Each bot has a style. Rocky plays few hands but bets hard, Luna plays lots and bluffs, Milo calls almost anything, and Ivy rarely bets without a good hand.
- Win chance is your rough odds of winning against the players still in. Need X% to call is the minimum win chance that makes a call worth its price. Green means calling pays off in the long run.

Strongest at the top. When two players have the same type of hand, the higher cards win, and leftover cards (kickers) break remaining ties. Dimmed cards don't count toward the combo. Suits never rank above each other.
